I shape surfboards in my garage.

Prior to moving to Maine, I used to have a reoccurring dream where I would look down at my feet and suddenly be surfing a wave effortlessly (even though I had never surfed a day in my life).

Now that I call southern Maine my home, surfing and my board shaping practice have become a meaningful part of my life.

From sanding plywood stringers, to hot-wiring my own foam blanks from foam sourced in NH, to fiberglassing with tinted pigments, and foiling volan fins

Making surfboards has been a way to allow myself to be creatively vulnerable and ask questions about material, design, brand and product development outside of my nine to five.
