What does public-private partnership look like? 

Boston Virtual Imaging partnered with Cambridge Crossing and DivcoWest to produce an event based video to highlight the grand opening of the Green Line Extension in Cambridge, MA. 

The client’s need for this video was to highlight the significance of the new green line T station located at Cambridge Crossing, and the public-private partnership it took to build it. The video was intended to be viewed by future tenants of Cambridge Crossing, as well as by a public audience on social media channels. The overall timeline for this project was three weeks. 

In order to tell this story, Boston Virtual Imaging worked directly with DivcoWest to understand the location, logistics of the event, and the target audience. We interviewed key stakeholders from DivcoWest to create a voiceover narrative for the video. Event footage was captured with an emphasis on the community and public officials who were in attendance. B-roll of the site was captured and 2D text animations were edited to music, to support the narrative. 

My favorite part of this project was being able to document such a historic placemaking event in Cambridge. Local officials, industry leaders and construction workers were in attendance, which added a sense of urgency and excitement to the event footage. I really enjoyed helping celebrate this construction milestone at Cambridge Crossing.
