PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

How does a workplace influence work and play?

Boston Virtual Imaging partnered with Bulfinch to produce a leasing video for Cambridge Discovery Park located in Cambridge, MA.

The client’s need for this video was to highlight the leasable space on-campus, illustrate the geographical significance of the park, and quality of life for an employee working at Cambridge Discovery Park. It was important for our client to represent the park as a vibrant workplace, where employees have access to anything they need throughout a typical work day. The video would be used as a marketing tool to attract lab and office tenants. The overall timeline for this project was four weeks.

In order to tell this story, Boston Virtual Imaging worked directly with Bulfinch to understand the location and the target audience. A script was written and interview questions were reverse engineered. We then conducted interviews of a current lab tenant and the SVP of leasing for Bulfinch, to deliver the main narrative. We supported the narrative with aerial footage of the site, and staged scenes of professional models activating specific campus spaces. 2D text graphics were animated to music to deliver additional information to the viewer.

My favorite part of this project was filming the hired and volunteer models on-site. We had a lot of fun staging multiple scenes in order to capture the vibrancy of the park.
