PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

What does collaboration look like?

Boston Virtual Imaging partnered with Carruth Capital to produce a marketing video for their office park located in Westborough, MA.

The client’s need for this video was to explain “why” Westborough Office Park is the best metro west location for today’s expanding businesses to call home. The video would be used as a marketing tool to attract office tenants to this location. The overall timeline for this project was four weeks.

In order to tell this story, Boston Virtual Imaging worked closely with Carruth to understand the location and the target audience. A storyboard and script were created in order to cast talent for a narrated role. We filmed staged scenes with models and an actor to activate specific spaces on the campus, and deliver the overall narrative. We also interviewed a tenant of the office park as a client testimonial to include in the video. Aerial and detailed footage of the campus, as well as 2D text graphics were animated to music to deliver additional information to the viewer.

My favorite part of this project was having the budget to work with an actor and models. It’s projects like this that make me realize how it always takes a crew, not just one person, to complete. I enjoyed experiencing the creative push and pull of everyone’s roles on-set, in order to make the most of our creative output. It’s still hard to believe that we were able to film all of the scripted scenes in just one day.
