50 JOHN HANCOCK ROAD, TAUNTON

Boston Virtual Imaging partnered with VMD Companies and Colliers to produce a leasing video for 50 John Hancock Boulevard located in Taunton, MA. 

The client’s need for this video was to visualize the new redeveloped space, and highlight the geographic significance of this location. It was important that we highlight its proximity to Myles Standish Industrial Park, nearby truck routes, and Boston. The video would be used as a marketing tool to attract various types of tenants. The overall timeline for this project was four weeks. 

In order to tell this story, Boston Virtual Imaging worked directly with VMD Companies and Colliers to understand the location and the type of tenant that they’d like to retain. 3D animations were embedded into the aerial footage to visualize future renovations and the interior of the space. 2D text graphics were animated to music to deliver information to the viewer.  

This project is a good example of what it’s like to create a leasing video for buildings that will be redeveloped. It’s usually like making a video for a moving target, since our clients are working through development decisions as the video is being produced, it makes it more difficult to visualize the final product. For this video, the audience was broad, so we had to creatively find a way to bring interest to multiple types of users. We ended up modeling the space in a minimal way, so that users could visualize how they could utilize the space. Stock photography was used to visualize the different types of users. Budget and timeline ultimately lead us down this road of visualization.
