SOUTH PEAK TEASER

How do you produce a video about a place where every season is a factor? 

Boston Virtual Imaging partnered with South Peak Resort and Longfellow Design Build to produce a short marketing video for the residences at South Peak Resort, located in Lincoln, NH. The client’s need for this video was to illustrate South Peak as a 4 season resort for outdoor enthusiasts looking to purchase a secondary home within close proximity to Boston, MA. The video would be used as a marketing tool for trade shows, and on the South Peak website to attract prospective homebuyers. 

In order to tell this story to our target audience, Boston Virtual Imaging was faced with a dilemma. The primary season to attract residences to the resort is Winter, however, we were producing the video in the Fall. A majority of our time spent on this video was sourcing stock footage to support our narrative. Luckily, our client had some winter footage of the location that they were able to provide. 2D text animations help deliver our narrative. 

This project really hit home for me, since I grew up in Vermont skiing, mountain biking, hiking and fly fishing. As a teenager, I used to watch ski films over and over again. I can’t help but think that had an impact on the media that we sourced and how I ultimately edited the video.
